Heidemarie Messnitzer

For more than 20 years, Heidemarie worked at the Permanent Representation of Austria in Brussels, covering various policy areas with a focus on the Austrian and European cultural and creative industries.

She considers herself both an expert in European cultural policy and an expert in cultural management of cross-border and cross-sector cooperation. It is particularly important to her to strengthen the diversity of the cultural and creative sectors and to sustainably improve the social and financial framework for cultural organizations, artists, and cultural practitioners.

Her passion is building bridges between politics, culture, and society – both at the national and international level.
