Violeta Philippitsch joined Umweltbundesamt (Environment Agency Austria) in 2005. She has been working as a key account manager for Western Balkan countries, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey and Romania and has in depth knowledge of the overall regional context and the specifics of environment and climate change acquis implementation and enforcement in the region. She is a capacity development and communication expert, with wide institutional capacity building and public awareness experience. She has been working as an expert, Component leader, Co-Project Leader and Project Leader in many Twinning and international projects in Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, and Turkey.
One of her tasks in the Environment Agency Austria is drafting contracts and documentation for internationally financed projects and programmes, follow-ups and monitoring. She has a wide knowledge of environmental and Climate EU-legislation and is also responsible for co-operation with international organisations and support to the execution of internationally assumend commitments.
