Susanne Gahleitner
Co-founder Parola, Austria
Categories: NGOs, Participants
Her path has led her from an apprenticeship in media technology to studying sociology, and ultimately to social work. Later she specialised in trauma pedagogy. She has several years of experience working with young people from refugee and migration backgrounds, especially in a flat for underaged refugees. As a co-founder of parola in Linz, she focuses on creating safe and participatory spaces that foster empowerment and inclusion for young refugees.
Over the past six months, she has been working in a child protection center, gaining deep insight into trauma-sensitive support and crisis work. She plans to become self-employed as a trauma pedagogue to dedicate more time to parola.
