Khalila is a multifaceted, multitalented, multisector serial social entrepreneur who believes strongly in power that well-built African socially minded business (social enterprise) brands have to positively transform the continent. She is the founder and CEO of Unleashed Africa Social Ventures; a group of social enterprises with a string of ambitious goals including catalyzing and connecting youth to 1,000,000 sustainable income generating opportunities by 2030. With a focus on youth development, social innovation and job creation, she is dedicated to exploring, innovating, and contributing to sustainable solutions for African Development.

Unleashed Africa works in areas of Arts and Development (Unleashed Academy for Performing arts and leadership), Gender (Beautiful You Initiative), Social-Enterprise Ecosystem Development (The Space); pioneering programs, projects and integrating research, social innovation and technology to propel growth its focus areas and foster impact.

The Unleashed Academy is focused on Research, Youth Development, and Social Innovation. It has the 3-fold objective to empower, expose to opportunities and educate artistic youth; to catalyze a well-rounded societal acceptance and engagement in the arts; and to trigger more state participation and investment in the arts space. Its work includes the creative lab, school performing arts program, performing arts agency, Open Arts Night and other events, The Msanii Imara artist development program and various seasonal camps.
