Ahmad received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Egypt’s premier public university, Cairo University and is currently working as Ashoka Arab World’s fellowship associate. His professional areas of interest focus on Human rights, education and social entrepreneurship. As an undergraduate, he was the president of MOIC (Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation); a student activity that serves the community through 8 diverse social projects.

At MOIC, Ahmad founded a social venture that fund-raised approximately EGP70,000 per annum. At present, he sits on MOIC’s board of trustees. In 2015, Ahmad was elected to be the President of the Faculty of Economics’ Student Union and one of the members of Cairo University’s Student Council, representing over 300,000 students with the mission of improving students’ educational environment. Recently, he was honored the LAZORD Fellowship from The American University in Cairo for his contributions to the social development field.”
