What a night!

What an evening! Our third Democracy MutTankstelle brought together an incredible mix of people ready to fuel up with new ideas, bold conversations, and fresh momentum for 2026. The room was buzzing with energy as we explored how global solutions can spark local action and how each of us can turn feelings of powerlessness into collective impact.

We were especially inspired by our two outstanding Ashoka Fellows:

Sandor Lederer, Obama Fellow and Co-Founder of K-Monitor, shared powerful insights on his work in Hungary, highlighting how transparency, civic tech, and citizen participation can strengthen democratic resilience, especially in challenging contexts.

Riccarda Zezza, Founder & CEO of Lifeed, showed us how she’s worked with 70.000 people on how life transitions and caregiving experiences can unlock human-centered skills that shape the future of work and learning.

Throughout the evening, participants connected, debated, co-created, and discovered new ways to move democracy forward together. Whether you’re a social entrepreneur, an active citizen, or simply curious about civic participation, this community space once again proved: you are not alone, and you can make a difference.
