Abdikadir Dakane

Transformational Humanitarian Leader, Child Rights Champion, and Climate-Change Activist with over 15 years of experience across Africa and the Middle East.
Currently serves as National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Somalia, leading national reforms in child protection, youth empowerment, and climate-smart community resilience. Previously held senior positions with Save the Children, World Vision, and the Danish Refugee Council, managing large- scale humanitarian and development programs in Somalia, Iraq, Syria, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
Holds a master’s in human rights and conflict management from Italy, bachelor’s degree in development studies and advanced trainings in leadership, children’s rights and International Humanitarian Law.
